Director of Dining and Hospitality

About the role
As a Director of Dining and Hospitality, you will plan, manage, and guide multiple contracted services for a client normally generating $2-15M+ in revenue to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives, and customer needs. Depending on the client, services can include food service, facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging, transportation, and more. You will lead a team to provide excellent service, leveraging knowledge of the client’s business, positive relationship-building skills, financial savvy, and a focus on safety.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong financial acumen with responsibility for P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, cost controls, financial analysis, and achieving revenue and profitability goals.
- Direct all daily café operations, catering programs, and hospitality services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while executing high-profile events and serving executive and high-end clientele.
- Provide strategic leadership for front-of-house and back-of-house operations, driving operational excellence, service consistency, food quality, and continuous process improvement.
- Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, executive leadership, team members, and cross-functional partners while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, anticipating customer needs and delivering hospitality-focused solutions that exceed expectations.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams through consistent training, performance management, and a commitment to employee engagement and professional growth.
- Manage client and community relationships, continually assessing operations and developing plans to provide optimal service and drive employee and customer satisfaction.
- Build, develop, and lead a management team and staff capable of carrying out organizational objectives.
- Recommend methods, resources, and implementation for service improvement and growth based on understanding of operational needs, capabilities, and contractual obligations.
- In partnership with Finance, manage a budget and assist in the design of improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity.
- Manage compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes and maintain all associated records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with Aramark's standards of operation, including safety standards and Aramark's Business Conduct Policy at all times.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred in Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship, and building and growing a strong business.
- Savvy interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and Aramark support staff.
- Comfortable reading, understanding, and implementing contractual requirements, including identifying opportunities within contract terms and conditions to address operational issues.
- Meaningful experience in the service industry, contract services, or hospitality environment.
- Proven ability leading through other managers.
- Experience in creating and managing a department budget, financial controls, and analysis.
- Experience crafting product sales strategies and implementing operational programs and initiatives.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Pay
The salaried rate for this position is $120,000.00 to $125,000.00.
