Director of Development, Southwest

About the role

The Director of Development is responsible for raising funds to support the growth and success of the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology. This includes managing donor relationships, developing and executing fundraising strategies, and engaging with key stakeholders to secure financial support for the Technion's initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support for the Technion's initiatives.
• Manage donor relationships, including soliciting gifts, stewarding donors, and providing exceptional customer service.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including board members, corporate partners, and individual donors, to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising efforts with overall organizational goals and priorities.
• Stay informed about trends in philanthropy and fundraising best practices to ensure the most effective strategies are employed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, communications, or nonprofit management).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and donor cultivation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience working with international organizations and understanding of global philanthropic trends is a plus.
