Position Summary Reporting to the Dean of the Law School and the Senior Advisor to the Dean at Fordham Law School, the Director of Dean’s Office Operations will manage the Dean’s speeches and remarks, communications, social media, calendar, and will liaise with internal and external offices. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the Dean’s presence, voice, and impact are conveyed effectively and that the Dean’s Office schedule is maximized to best accommodate various stakeholders, including donors and alumni, university leaders and leadership of peer institutions, dignitaries, faculty, law firms, judges, administrators, and students. Essential Functions Acts as a liaison between the Dean’s Office and external parties, including other academic institutions, bar associations, judges, alumni, and others, to arrange meetings and events. Prepares drafts of the Dean’s speeches and remarks. Advises on and carries out communications and social media strategies for the Dean’s Office. Manages correspondence on behalf of the Dean’s Office. Coordinates and manages the Dean’s calendar, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring no conflicts and that the Dean is prepared for all engagements. Manages special projects as directed by the Dean or the Senior Advisor to the Dean. Plans and manages Dean’s Office events and meetings, including all logistics and communications. Assists in travel arrangements for the Dean, including accommodations and itineraries. Manages day-to-day expenses of the Dean’s Office, including submitting expense reports. Management Responsibilities May provide peer-level coordination or subject-matter guidance to colleagues performing similar work and/or student, part-time workers, including helping organize tasks, clarify priorities, or review work for quality or consistency. Additional Functions Serves as backup to the Senior Advisor to the Dean when needed. Required Qualifications: Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree Required minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in an academic or executive setting. Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals at all levels of the organization. Strong writing ability, especially for drafting speeches and remarks. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, LinkedIn, and calendar management tools. Preferred Qualifications Minimum Starting Salary $75,000 Maximum Starting Salary $95,000 Qualifications Note Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
