Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Corporate Functions Data Domain strategy, establishing governance frameworks, ownership models, and operating processes that align with enterprise data policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Data Stewards and Data Quality Analysts, providing strategic direction while ensuring effective execution of data governance, quality improvement, and stewardship activities.
  • Define and maintain data ownership models, including golden sources, systems of record, business definitions, data lineage, and metadata standards across IT, HR, Procurement, and Legal platforms.
  • Partner with business leaders and technology teams to identify data requirements, prioritize enhancements, and ensure platforms and solutions support evolving business needs.
  • Drive enterprise data quality initiatives by establishing controls, monitoring data health, identifying issues, and overseeing remediation efforts with source system owners.
  • Ensure appropriate data access, security controls, and compliance practices are maintained in alignment with financial industry regulations and enterprise governance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve data transparency, usability, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle, from creation through consumption.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on data governance maturity, quality metrics, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in a senior data management, data governance, or data leadership role (Director/Executive Director level preferred).
  • Hands-on experience leading data quality, data stewardship, metadata management, or enterprise data governance initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management, lineage, business glossaries, and quality controls.
  • Experience managing data domains related to IT, HR/People, Procurement, Legal, or other corporate functions.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive enterprise-wide data initiatives.
  • Experience working within financial services or other highly regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable data strategies.
