About the role

The Director of Culinary Services oversees all culinary operations, ensuring high-quality food service and adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the kitchen staff and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement new menu items based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Manage budgeting and procurement processes to maintain cost efficiency while ensuring quality ingredients are used.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef to plan and execute special events and banquets.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and staff effectively.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with food safety and sanitation protocols.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food service management principles and practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
  • Valid Food Handlers’ Permit.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

$X per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts.
