About the role

KET is Kentucky’s only statewide media organization, broadcasting into 8 states and 10 media markets. It offers high-quality PBS programming, local productions, and educational resources.

Responsibilities

  • Create, execute and evaluate fundraising strategies to secure and grow broadcast, event, digital, education and community sponsorships from corporate partners.
  • Align KET’s vision, programs, and services with funding opportunities and communicate a case for support.
  • Build and manage an individual portfolio of corporate partners and prospects, focusing on retention and new connections.
  • Manage administrative and database functions, including donor recognition, pledge entries, invoicing, acknowledgments, and coordination with KET staff.
  • Identify and secure new sponsorship opportunities, manage event sponsorships, and foster a culture of philanthropy.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Corporate team, participate in hiring, training, and performance oversight, and resolve issues.
  • Develop and execute a year-round Strategic Plan, promote sponsorship opportunities, and collaborate with KET Marketing.
  • Effectively communicate and advocate for KET’s programs and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of three years of experience in fundraising, sales, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, media sales, or resource development.
  • Track record in building effective partner relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency and database management skills.
  • Self-supporting administrative, marketing, and office skills.
  • Public media, corporate outreach, and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Frequent travel and occasional evening/weekend hours required.

Qualifications

Pay

The salary will be based on the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant and is non-commissionable.

Schedule
