Director of Construction and Development
About the role
Cypress Health Partners is a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy in New England and upstate New York, focused on offering exceptional MSK care through two regional brands – Bay State Physical Therapy and MVPT Physical Therapy. Our dedicated professionals strive to help patients move better, feel better, and live better. We are seeking a Director of Construction to lead all construction and renovation projects for our growing network of outpatient physical therapy clinics across the Northeast.
This role is ideal for someone who has managed the build-out of multiple retail, health & fitness, or other customer-facing locations. You will partner with consultants, landlord representatives, cross-functional departments, and business teams to ensure project goals and requirements are clearly defined and completed, with the goal of creating welcoming, high-quality spaces that support exceptional patient care.
We typically build between ten and fourteen new clinics each year and work on as many clinic relocations and significant renovations. Our clinics are generally between 2,500 and 4,000 square feet, with an open treatment approach similar to a boutique fitness facility. Clinics include one to three private treatment rooms, a breakroom for staff, a welcoming front desk, and a patient waiting area. Our spaces are modern, efficient environments focused on eliminating pain and improving functional performance.

- Lead procurement and bidding process for general contractors and negotiate terms.
- Conduct site visits to verify that all work is completed in accordance with organizational standards.
- Develop preventative maintenance plans to support the long-term operation of our clinics.
- Maintain professional relationships with all contracted suppliers, vendors, landlords, and property managers to ensure good communication and mutual trust.
