About the role

The Director will lead the Conflicts of Interest Program and contribute to the development and growth of related and other Israel education and leadership programs and initiatives at Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the Conflicts of Interest Program, ensuring its relevance and impact in the field of Jewish education and leadership.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to design and deliver innovative educational programs focused on Israel and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee the evaluation and improvement of existing programs, seeking ways to expand their reach and effectiveness.
  • Engage in fundraising efforts to support the growth and sustainability of the Israel education and leadership programs.
  • Represent Spertus Institute at conferences, meetings, and other professional events to promote the institute’s work and attract new partnerships and funding.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning and vision of the institute, aligning Israel education and leadership initiatives with broader institutional goals.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field such as Jewish studies, education, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in Jewish education or conflict resolution.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage successful educational programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in fundraising and grant writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Deep understanding of Jewish history, culture, and values.
  • Knowledge of contemporary issues affecting Jewish communities and global affairs.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and communities.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with online collaboration tools.
