Director of Compliance

Responsibilities

  • Management of and collaboration with staff responsible for day-to-day compliance operations
  • Oversight and direction of staff investigations
  • Development, implementation and management of additional compliance programs, processes, policies and/or procedures in collaboration with other members of senior staff
  • Analysis and evaluation of complex administrative issues and recommendation and implementation of effective solutions
  • Supervision and management of staff, including planning, organizing, directing, coaching, and evaluating the work of others
  • Interact with casinos, gambling game suppliers, and independent testing laboratories to review new products and concepts for consideration under administrative rules
  • Analyze agency needs in areas related to compliance with administrative rules, including new technologies, products, and processes

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, quick learner
  • Navigate multiple priorities proficiently by setting deadlines and balancing workloads
  • Develop and implement procedures, policies, and guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university and experience equal to four years of full-time work in program administration, development, management, or operations
  • Eight years of full-time work experience in program administration, development, management, or operations
  • A combination of a total of four years of education and full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work in any field equals one year of full-time experience
  • Two years of full-time work experience work in program administration, development, management, or operations
  • A combination of a total of four years of education and full-time experience (as described in part a), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work equals one year of full-time experience
  • Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes one year of full-time work as a Public Service Supervisor or comparable specific management-level position
