About the role
The Director of Communications and Public Affairs is responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans to enhance the organization’s public image and support its mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive public relations campaigns
- Manage media relations and crisis communications
- Oversee internal and external communications strategies
- Collaborate with marketing and advertising teams to ensure consistent messaging
- Manage social media platforms and online reputation management
- Prepare and deliver speeches and presentations
- Represent the organization at industry events and conferences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in communications or public relations
- Proven track record in managing public relations campaigns and crisis communications
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media trends
- Experience with crisis management and media training
- Knowledge of public relations laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media management tools

- $80,000 - $100,000 annually

- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
