Full-time, exempt position reporting to the TCHD Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all programs within the Clinic Division.
- Monitor compliance with rules, regulations, and timeframes for programs administered by the Clinical Division according to Illinois Department of Public Health, CDC, and other local, state, and federal standards.
- Directly supervise, assign, direct, and evaluate the work of Clinical Services staff.
- Lead the preparation, writing, and annual submittal of multiple grant requests for the Clinic Division.
- Oversee division grant budgets.
- Establish and/or approve program priorities, procedures, and practices within the division; serve as a leadership team member with other directors.
- Attend professional meetings within and outside the county, representing the Department at other agencies' meetings, boards, and advisory councils.
- Provide direction and consultation in specialty nursing fields and interpret implications for public health nursing practice, including:
- Control of communicable disease
- Immunization of adults and children
- Control of Sexually Transmitted Infections
- Preventive care services
- Implement nursing practice standards to assure clinical competency in service delivery; assume responsibility for clinical competence.
- Assure appropriate standing orders are up to date and signed by the Medical Director; develop and monitor Medical Director's standing orders to ensure staff performance aligns with guidelines.
- Manage and develop appropriate clinical protocols.
- Responsible for HIPAA compliance for the Department.
- Plan and coordinate educational programs for clinical staff nurses, related professional workers, and community groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Two years of program management experience, including planning, budgeting, and staffing.
- Experience in public health, determinants of health, health equity, disparities, disproportionalities, and racial equity preferred.
- Board Certification in Public Health Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Public Health preferred.
Pay
$36.49 - $37.95 per hour.
