Bucktail Medical Center (BMC), a Critical Access Hospital nestled in the scenic mountains of north-central Pennsylvania, is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and hands-on Director of Clinical Services to lead our nursing and clinical teams. Located along the Susquehanna River in Renovo, Pennsylvania, Bucktail Medical Center proudly serves our rural community through Emergency Department services, Acute Care, Swing Bed services, Primary Care, Rehabilitation, Laboratory, Imaging, and EMS support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing and clinical service areas.
  • Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and Critical Access Hospital regulations and standards.
  • Lead clinical quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, operational goals, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Maintain strong clinical competency in emergency and acute patient care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and support leader for nursing staff.
  • Participate in direct patient care responsibilities when operationally necessary, including occasional support within the Emergency Department or inpatient care areas.
  • Respond effectively and calmly during urgent or emergent patient care situations.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 8 years progressive nursing leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
  • Proven experience in rural or critical access hospital settings preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical operations, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with quality assurance and performance improvements initiatives.

Pay Range

$120,000 - 145,000 annually depending on experience
