Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize clinical processes.
  • Partner with physicians on clinical practices and protocols into operational improvements specific to a given doctor, location or clinic process.
  • Leads and mentors clinical managers.
  • Leads and supports the professional development of clinical managers and their teams.
  • Controls and steadily improves the entire department’s use of systems, processes and resources to better serve the patients, physicians and the practice.
  • Analyzes operations to improve systems and processes that improve performance.
  • Visible in clinics to support and assess operations.
  • Supports integration during mergers and acquisitions; and the opening of new offices.
  • Collaborates with the practice senior leadership.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with PHI, understands and adheres to practice policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, with demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
  • Ophthalmology or Retina experience is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Retina experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.
  • Proficiency with medical records software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • PREFERRED: COA, COT, OSC certifications.
