Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize clinical processes.
- Partner with physicians on clinical practices and protocols into operational improvements specific to a given doctor, location or clinic process.
- Leads and mentors clinical managers.
- Leads and supports the professional development of clinical managers and their teams.
- Controls and steadily improves the entire department’s use of systems, processes and resources to better serve the patients, physicians and the practice.
- Analyzes operations to improve systems and processes that improve performance.
- Visible in clinics to support and assess operations.
- Supports integration during mergers and acquisitions; and the opening of new offices.
- Collaborates with the practice senior leadership.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with PHI, understands and adheres to practice policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, with demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
- Ophthalmology or Retina experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Retina experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.
- Proficiency with medical records software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- PREFERRED: COA, COT, OSC certifications.
