Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled on-site assessments across Central Texas facilities using documented benchmarks for cleanliness, HVAC systems, safety protocols, security measures, signage, landscaping, furnishings, and presentation readiness—then convert observations into confirmed corrective measures.
- Manage facilities incidents and urgent situations, coordinate contractor response, and confirm resolution before closing service requests (urgent within 24 hours, standard within 1 week).
- Oversee regional contractor performance measured against service-level agreements, terminate consistently underperforming vendors, renegotiate contracts, and conduct direct accountability discussions regarding quality and budget.
- Establish a weekly operational rhythm with Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to ensure uniform procedures across locations, eliminate reliance on individual heroics.
- Direct significant campus improvement projects (HVAC system updates, interior redesigns, landscaping enhancements, AV/network infrastructure) within timeline and budget parameters while minimizing student disruption.
- Document enterprise standards and AI-enhanced procurement frameworks (utilizing ticketing platforms, IoT/predictive maintenance tools, and centralized sourcing systems) to ensure consistent campus deployment and operations.
- Deliver concise weekly written updates covering regional quality metrics, contractor performance, escalated issues, and capital expenditure tracking.
Basic Requirements
- Located in or within commuting range of Austin, TX metro, prepared to operate primarily from the Austin campus with 20–40% regional travel requirements.
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
- 5+ years managing multi-site facilities, regional operations, hospitality operations, retail operations, or educational facility operations.
- Documented success managing vendor-delivered services for quality, cost efficiency, and SLA compliance across multiple sites.
- Robust written operational discipline: issue tracking, escalation documentation, vendor correspondence, weekly regional performance reporting.
- Verified experience with contemporary operations platforms (ticketing systems, IoT/predictive maintenance, AI-supported procurement or planning tools).
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Regional operations leadership across premium hospitality, luxury retail, private K–12 education, or healthcare networks serving demanding clientele.
- Experience establishing or rehabilitating a regional operations framework that previously depended on individual heroics instead of documented standards.
- History of vendor replacement and rebuilding regional contractor networks.
- Experience overseeing capital improvement initiatives (HVAC, AV/network infrastructure, landscaping, interior updates) in active, customer-facing facilities.
- Familiarity working within an AI-native operations environment where automated playbooks, dashboards, and predictive tools handle routine functions while personnel concentrate on decision-making.
