About the role

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Director of Business Applications to lead the vision, delivery, and continuous improvement of our enterprise application portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, this role oversees the strategy, architecture, support, optimization, and governance of the organization's business-critical applications, including Salesforce, financial systems, grant management platforms, integrations, and custom web applications.

As a trusted advisor to business leaders and technical teams, you will help ensure application and technology investments support operational excellence, innovation, informed decision-making, and long-term organizational growth. This position works primarily from our Kansas City office and leads a high-performing team responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and secure business solutions that advance our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of GKCCF’s enterprise application portfolio.
  • Oversee the architecture, support, optimization, and governance of business-critical applications, including Salesforce, financial systems, grant management platforms, integrations, and custom web applications.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and technical teams to align technology investments with operational excellence and organizational growth.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and secure business solutions.
  • Establish or improve governance, change management, and accountability structures within the team.
  • Drive digital transformation and large-scale platform implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing business and enterprise applications, with Salesforce experience preferred.
  • 3+ years leading technical teams in a management position.
  • Demonstrated experience managing application portfolios across multiple platforms simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to establish or improve governance, change management, and accountability structures in a team environment.
  • Experience leading enterprise application strategy, digital transformation, or large-scale platform implementations is preferred.
