Director of Brand Marketing (Contract)
About the role
Partner with marketing leadership to develop the annual brand strategy and national marketing calendar focused on consumer demand, brand relevance, and year-over-year sales growth.
Lead the development and execution of national campaigns, promotional windows, product launches, local marketing initiatives, partnerships, merchandising, and new location openings.
Oversee campaigns from initial briefing through creative development, channel execution, launch, and performance analysis across paid, owned, and earned media.
Collaborate with internal creative, digital, media, consumer insights, operations, finance, legal, procurement, and agency teams to deliver consistent messaging across the consumer journey.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate consumer insights, campaign performance, promotional results, and sales data to identify opportunities and adjust strategies in real time.
- Support marketing budget planning, tracking, and optimization while ensuring initiatives remain aligned with broader business objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members by establishing clear priorities, balancing workloads, and maintaining accountability for timelines and results.
Requirements
8+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing, brand management, advertising, or integrated consumer marketing.
Demonstrated experience developing annual brand plans, national marketing calendars, creative briefs, promotions, and integrated multimedia campaigns.
Strong understanding of the full campaign lifecycle, including research, strategy, creative development, execution, measurement, and optimization.
Experience leading direct reports and influencing agency partners and cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization.
Strong business acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications
Required: Experience within a consumer packaged goods, food, restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry.
