About the role
The Director of Bethel Worship Collective oversees and coordinates worship leadership ensembles within the Department of Music, ensuring quality worship leadership opportunities for Bethel University students. Duties include working with pastors and educators, coordinating music department activities, and supporting songwriting and recording initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate worship leadership ensembles, including performance and ministry calendars, rehearsal schedules, and logistical needs.
- Collaborate with local and regional pastors and worship ministry leaders to provide quality worship leadership opportunities for Bethel University students.
- Work with the Music Department Chair to facilitate music audition opportunities and requirements.
- Serve as Chapel Liaison, overseeing music-based ministry ensembles in chapel events.
- Support songwriting and recording efforts, integrating with Nashville-based components of the program.
- Maximize student enrollment, off-campus exposure, and marketing/promotion efforts.
- Teach up to 9 load hours annually.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in full-time worship ministry leadership.
- Master's degree in Worship Arts or Music (preferred).
- Teaching experience in Christian higher education (preferred).
- Able to work independently, organized, detail-oriented, cheerful, flexible, and willing to follow instructions.
- Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs and push heavy equipment on castors.
Job Expectations
- Represent Bethel University at relevant recruitment events and on/off-campus performances.
- Attend faculty meetings for the Department of Music.
- Communicate regularly with the Department of Music regarding student worship ministry leadership and performances.
