Director of Banquets

The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is seeking a Director of Banquets who embodies a passion for excellence and enthusiasm in all interactions. This position offers the opportunity to shape the guest experience by demonstrating the Golden Rule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and execution of all banquets and special events at the resort.
• Collaborate with event planners, chefs, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of high-quality events.
• Manage banquet staff, ensuring their training and development to maintain high standards of service.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service and communication.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety and event management.
• Work closely with the General Manager to align banquet operations with overall resort goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banquet management, preferably within a luxury hotel setting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale events and banquet operations.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
