Job Summary

Post University is a NCAA Division II institution and a member of the CACC Conference, NE-10, ECC, and NEWHA. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, knowledge of sport rules and statistics, and proficiency in all relevant software.

Responsibilities

  • Keep statistics according to NCAA, NE-10, ECC, NEWHA, and CACC rules and input data into relevant programs
  • Manage the athletic website and publicize all teams
  • Manage live stats and video streaming
  • Write and distribute press releases in the associated press format
  • Manage all sport information, including part-time Assistant Director of Athletic Communications and game staff
  • Coordinate with local media and opposing teams to promote games
  • Prepare game notes, game programs, take team photos, and video stream games
  • Run and develop the online photo shop for athletics
  • Manage all social media channels associated with the athletic department, including Twitter and YouTube
  • Research hometown newspapers and interact with media outlets to increase hometown coverage
  • Sit at and manage the Official Scorer's Table during home contests
  • Operate all software and other statistical programs used by the NCAA, NE-10, ECC, NEWHA, and CACC
  • Update the athletics webpage as directed
  • Conduct research relating to Post University's athletic programs and track web traffic
  • Oversee student graduate assistants/interns in conjunction with the undergraduate sport management program

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required with a focus on journalism or sports management. Knowledge of sport rules and statistics are recommended. Professional demeanor and dress are essential to the role.

Qualifications
