Director of Assisted Living

About the role

Luther Manor is seeking an experienced, compassionate leader to serve as Director of the Assisted Living, overseeing all assisted living programs within the continuum of care. This role manages operations for The Courtyards at Luther Manor (156-unit CBRF), Memory Care Units (18-bed and 50-bed Luther Manor Terrace RCAC), ensuring resident welfare, security, and needs are met in compliance with policies and regulations. The Director collaborates across departments to deliver optimal services to residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and analyze service needs for assisted living residents.
• Develop, interpret, and implement policies and procedures to fulfill mission with residents and families.
• Coordinate daily operations with program managers, including staffing, recruitment, training, and evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with Wisconsin licensure regulations HFS 83, HFS 89, and Adult Day Care Certification standards (F-60947).
• Report non-compliance issues to the Chief Clinical Officer and assist with resolution.
• Measure and assure resident satisfaction, quality standards in direct services, and consistent facility maintenance.
• Coordinate with marketing to optimize occupancy, including residency contract completion, welcome, and orientation.
• Ensure fiscal accountability through budgeted expenditures, allocation, and reporting of funds; participate in the budgeting process.
• Foster a culture of safety by maintaining a safe working environment and enforcing safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Health Administration, or related field.
• NHA preferred, but not required.
• Management experience in a senior living community or older adult services.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with older adults, family members, and peers.
• Strong organizational skills with flexibility and efficiency.
• Ability to meet a flexible schedule as staffing needs dictate.
• Team player with a “can do” attitude.
