About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the university's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of all systems, and providing technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the university’s network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches.
- Provide technical support to users across various departments.
- Implement and manage software updates and patches.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on hardware and software to prevent downtime.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in IT support or management.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and network protocols.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware and software issues.
Qualifications
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in IT tools and software.
