About the Role
This position leads the development and implementation of strategies to enhance database systems, data integration, and related technologies within the Advancement department. The role ensures data integrity, operational efficiency, and supports fundraising initiatives through actionable insights and cross-departmental collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual plans for continuous improvement of database systems, data integration across university platforms, and related technologies to ensure optimal data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Generate and oversee monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports in collaboration with the finance office, including donor benchmarking reports aligned with VSE and other gift reporting standards.
- Translate constituent data into actionable information to support fundraising strategies, moves management, and measures of success.
- Lead prospect research and pipeline discussions, including preparation of research briefs for events and meetings, to strengthen strategies for annual, major, and planned giving.
- Serve as liaison with key university offices—including technology, finance, financial aid, athletics, and academic units—to support data integration, collaboration, and software project prioritization.
- Coordinate and assess training needs for Advancement staff on database systems, business processes, and fundraising information systems to ensure consistent data integrity and institutional knowledge.
- Execute and maintain key knowledge management resources including business process documentation, procedural handbooks, policies, and guidelines.
- Manage access to alumni and donor data, safeguarding confidentiality, and overseeing coding tables, donor lists, and data requests.
- Anticipate constituent needs and ensure sound donor stewardship practices are reflected across all Advancement services and communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with donor databases and advancement systems, including Ellucian Advance and Salesforce, with the ability to support data integrity, reporting, and gift processing functions.
- Knowledge of Annual Giving operations, including campaign management, donor segmentation, solicitation strategies, and performance tracking.

Pay
$100,000 - $110,000 per year.
