Director of Advancement

About the Role

The Director of Advancement is a full-time leadership position responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive development and fundraising strategy that supports the mission, vision and long-term sustainability of Notre Dame Academy. As a member of NDA's Leadership Team, the Director leads the Advancement Department, fosters a culture of philanthropy and builds meaningful relationships with donors, alumnae, families and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Advancement Plan aligned with NDA's mission, Strategic Plan and long-term goals.
• Personally manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, actively cultivating, soliciting and stewarding relationships.
• Provide strategic leadership for the Annual Fund, major and planned giving, endowments, corporate and foundation relations and donor stewardship.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with donors, alumnae, parents, grandparents, foundations, corporate partners and friends of NDA.
• Lead long-range fundraising planning for future capital campaigns and institutional priorities.
• Provide leadership and direction for the Advancement Department, including Annual Giving & Events and Alumnae Relations.
• Collaborate with Enrollment, Communications, school leadership and the Board of Directors to advance institutional priorities and strengthen constituent engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in advancement, development, fundraising, nonprofit leadership or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in major gifts, donor cultivation, solicitation and fundraising strategy.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational and strategic planning skills.
• Genuine passion for Catholic education and the mission of Notre Dame Academy.
