The Director of Advancement is a full-time leadership position responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive development and fundraising strategy that supports the mission, vision and long-term sustainability of Notre Dame Academy. As a member of NDA’s Leadership Team, the Director leads the Advancement Department, fosters a culture of philanthropy and builds meaningful relationships with donors, alumnae, families and community partners. Areas of responsibility include:Develop and implement a comprehensive Advancement Plan aligned with NDA’s mission, Strategic Plan and long-term goals.Personally manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, actively cultivating, soliciting and stewarding relationships.Provide strategic leadership for the Annual Fund, major and planned giving, endowments, corporate and foundation relations and donor stewardship.Develop and strengthen relationships with donors, alumnae, parents, grandparents, foundations, corporate partners and friends of NDA.Lead long-range fundraising planning for future capital campaigns and institutional priorities.Provide leadership and direction for the Advancement Department, including Annual Giving & Events and Alumnae Relations.Collaborate with Enrollment, Communications, school leadership and the Board of Directors to advance institutional priorities and strengthen constituent engagement.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in advancement, development, fundraising, nonprofit leadership or a related field.Demonstrated success in major gifts, donor cultivation, solicitation and fundraising strategy.Proven leadership and supervisory experience.Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational and strategic planning skills.Genuine passion for Catholic education and the mission of Notre Dame Academy. Related Knowledge/Skills:Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Strong relationship-building, leadership and organizational skills.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate goals into effective fundraising strategies and results.Collaborative and team-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively across departments and with school leadership and volunteers.Experience with fundraising databases and CRM systems.Strong commitment to ethical fundraising practices and donor confidentiality.
