Director of Advancement
About the role
The Director of Advancement will lead Kingswood Oxford School's comprehensive advancement program, serving as a strategic partner to the Head of School and Board of Trustees. Following the successful completion of the $22 million Seize the Day campaign, the School seeks a leader to build on this momentum and shape a bold, forward-looking fundraising strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the School’s mission and goals
- Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, including alumni, parents, and friends of the School
- Manage the annual giving program, including stewardship and cultivation efforts
- Oversee major gift solicitation efforts, including prospect research, donor identification, and stewardship
- Collaborate with the Communications & Alumni Relations team to develop and execute marketing and communication strategies that support fundraising initiatives
- Work closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure alignment on fundraising priorities and strategies
- Represent the School at events and meetings, both internally and externally, to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Monitor and report on fundraising metrics and progress towards goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising, preferably in a K-12 educational setting
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing fundraising strategies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leadership
- Experience with major gift fundraising, including prospect research and donor identification
- Knowledge of best practices in K-12 education and philanthropy

Pay
Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The Director of Advancement will work a standard Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional evening and weekend events as needed.
