Director of Admissions

Essential Functions

• Captures tours of the facility with perspective Residents, families, and referrers either personally or with appropriate interdisciplinary team members.
• Aids Residents and family members in completing the admission process by ensuring all admission paperwork is completed and necessary financial and medical records are obtained.
• Prepares rooms for new Residents upon their arrival.
• Meets with Residents and families on the day of admission to address any questions and facilitate a smooth admission process.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent, effective admissions, discharges, and Resident room transfers.
• Builds and maintains a referral network for the facility.
• Generates and implements long-term and short-term marketing strategies.
• Coordinates and presents about the facility to healthcare professionals and other potential referral sources.
• Reports any hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or supply issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintains a comfortable, private, and dignified environment for Residents.
• Communicates and interacts effectively with Residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Responds promptly to call lights in Resident care areas and reports any concerns to the appropriate department head.
• Participates in departmental meetings and in-services as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in a marketing role in healthcare or similar experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
