About the Role

Lincoln Christian School is seeking a Director of Admissions who is aligned with our mission, vision, and core values and who desires to make an eternal impact through Christian education. We are looking for an individual who views this role as an opportunity to faithfully serve Christ by serving our students, families, and fellow staff members. Applicants must demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, actively participate in a Bible-believing church, and affirm the school’s Statement of Faith. The Director of Admissions and Communications provides strategic leadership for enrollment growth and cultivates meaningful relationships with prospective and current families. This role combines relationship-building, strategic planning, and creative communication to advance the mission and vision of Lincoln Christian School. The Director oversees all aspects of the admissions process, ensures consistent and engaging communication across platforms, and promotes the school through thoughtful marketing initiatives. This position reports to and works closely with the Director of Engagement.

Responsibilities

Focus 1: Admissions

  • Develop and Lead Enrollment Strategy: Design and implement strategies to meet enrollment goals across all grade levels, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and values.
  • Prospective Family Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for prospective families, providing a welcoming and personalized experience throughout the admissions process.
  • Application and Enrollment Oversight: Manage all aspects of the admissions pipeline, including inquiries, applications, tours, missional alignment, shadow days, testing, coordination of principal interviews, church references, and communication of all enrollment decisions.
  • Event Planning: Organize and execute admissions-related events such as information nights, Enrollment Day Pep Rally, K-for-a-Day, and parent sessions to showcase the school to prospective families.
  • Retention Efforts: Collaborate with staff and faculty to monitor and improve student retention through strong family engagement and satisfaction.

Focus 2: Enrollment Marketing and Outreach

  • Enrollment Campaigns: Collaborate with the Director of Engagement and Creative Director to plan and execute digital, print, and social media campaigns that support enrollment goals and increase school visibility.
  • Admissions Content and Materials: Work with the Director of Engagement and Creative Director to ensure admissions information is accurate, current, and compelling across the school website, print materials, and other enrollment communications.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all admissions messaging and materials reflect the school’s brand, mission, and voice.
  • Community Outreach: Build relationships with local preschools, churches, and businesses to expand awareness of Lincoln Christian and cultivate connections with prospective families.

Focus 3: International Student Program

  • Program Development and Support: Lead the recruitment, enrollment, and onboarding process for international students, ensuring they are supported academically, socially, and spiritually throughout their time at the school.
  • Legal Compliance: Manage SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) compliance for the school and each international student, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Host Family Coordination: Identify, recruit, and support host families, ensuring they provide a safe, welcoming, and enriching home environment for international students.
  • Student and Host Family Support: Provide ongoing guidance and support to international students and host families, facilitating a smooth transition and fostering cultural, academic, and spiritual integration.

Requirements

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and active involvement in a local church whose beliefs align with Lincoln Christian School’s Statement of Faith.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Christian education and the mission, vision, and values of Lincoln Christian School.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, nonprofit leadership, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience in admissions, enrollment, education, customer relations, communications, sales, ministry, or another relationship-centered field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with prospective families, current families, students, staff, churches, and community partners.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, warmly, and professionally.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple applicants, events, deadlines, and details simultaneously.
  • A strong foundational understanding of biblical theology and major doctrinal distinctions within evangelical Christianity, with the discernment and relational sensitivity to evaluate missional alignment and communicate enrollment decisions with clarity, grace, and professionalism.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive family information appropriately.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the Principals, Director of Engagement, Creative Director, faculty, staff, and other school partners.
  • Proficiency with common office and digital communication tools, including MS Suite and Google, with the ability to learn admissions, enrollment, and FACTS student-information system.
  • Willingness to complete required SEVIS training and maintain knowledge of regulations governing international students.
  • Availability for occasional evening or weekend admissions events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, Christian education, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a Christian school, church, ministry, or faith-based nonprofit organization.
  • Experience contributing to strategies that support enrollment, organizational growth, family engagement, or retention.
  • Experience managing admissions or a comparable relationship-centered process from initial inquiry through final decision and follow-up.
  • Experience using admissions, customer relationship management, or student-information systems, particularly FACTS.
  • Experience interpreting data, identifying trends, and using data to guide strategy and decision-making.
  • Experience collaborating on digital, print, website, and social media enrollment campaigns.
  • Experience planning and leading family-facing events, presentations, or community outreach initiatives.
  • SEVIS experience.
  • Experience in recruiting.
  • Established relationships with local churches.
