About the role
The Director of Admissions plays a crucial role in ensuring the Admissions team meets pre-set goals and performance standards for the continued success of the campus. This position involves monitoring staffing levels, leading marketing initiatives, recruiting, training, managing, supervising, and motivating Admissions Representatives and support staff.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate phone calls and interviews for each Admissions Representative biweekly and monthly respectively.
- Conduct Professional Standards evaluations quarterly and annual/semi-annual performance reviews.
- Provide feedback and coaching to ensure successful performance.
- Review all inbound recorded calls within 72 hours for accurate lead entry and proper call handling.
- Arrange staffing schedules/shifts for full coverage of inbound leads during hours of operation.
- Monitor and respond to public reviews and mystery shops.
- Track, monitor, and report on progress towards start goals.
- Coach and develop Admissions Representatives for future admissions director roles.
- Collaborate with peer departments to ensure overall campus success.
- Plan and conduct campus-based events such as open houses and orientations.
- Lead daily and weekly standups and team meetings to build team cohesiveness.
- Communicate with prospective students, applicants, and others seeking information on admissions standards.
- Provide input for budgets, training meetings, campus facilities, etc.
- Ensure business professional dress code is followed by all Admissions staff members.
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A proven admissions track record with a minimum of four years of direct enrollment management experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with enrollment management practices.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, leadership, development, and implementation skills.
- Ability to multi-task, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective communication with individuals of diverse socio-economic and multi-cultural backgrounds.
- High energy, commitment to being a team player, and excellent leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with CRM, CampusVue, and Proficient in MS Office.
