About the role

The Director of Admissions ensures the Admissions process functions smoothly while leading and supervising Admissions Representatives and Coordinators. This role involves motivation, troubleshooting, and support to achieve performance and activity goals, as well as assisting in the establishment of school revenue budgets in conjunction with the Campus Director and Regional Director of Admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Structure, document, and implement the Company's established Policies and Procedures for Admissions.
  • Evaluate future students through in-person interviews and refer questionable candidates or issues to the Director of Admissions.
  • Assist prospective students through the admissions process in accordance with all applicable Federal and State regulations.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and thorough student records are created and forwarded to appropriate departments.
  • Expand awareness of the School and its services within the community.
  • Request referrals during and after the enrollment process.
  • Convey accurate and compliance-approved employment data as provided by the school.
  • Demonstrate adequate product knowledge to represent the options available to inquiring students.
  • Perform second interviews with prospective students.
  • Manage inquiry customer service to achieve prompt contact and weekly performance activity goals.
  • Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and replace staff as needed to meet qualitative and quantitative objectives.
  • Develop, document, and implement ongoing professional training for Admissions Representatives and Coordinators.
  • Provide management with accurate weekly performance reports related to recruitment effectiveness and future start population.
  • Conduct weekly Admissions meetings.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental communications between Admissions, Financial Aid, Education, and Placement departments.
  • Recommend course offerings, timing, representative compensation, or operational improvements to enhance the Admissions process.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audits/reviews.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals of Admissions Representatives and Coordinators.
  • Attend school graduation ceremonies.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage employees in the Admissions department, including overall direction, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints; and resolve problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years minimum experience in Admissions.

Skills

  • Excellent written, telephone, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and CampusVue.
  • Ability to achieve success individually and as part of a team.
  • Mature, positive, and collaborative interpersonal skills with both staff and students.
  • Thorough knowledge of school programs and Federal and State regulations.
  • Successfully completes and conducts AI admission training.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Pay

Compensation range: $87,000—$100,000 USD, based on experience and qualifications.
