About the role

The Director of Addiction Services will lead the residential and community-based addiction services of a long-established and professionally accredited social enterprise. Reporting to the CEO, they will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-informed care aligned with recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across a comprehensive suite of addiction services.
  • Oversight of both the Residential and Community Services Managers.
  • Foster a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead service development, clinical governance, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Educated to a Degree Level 8 of the NFQ or equivalent, in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology or other related fields.
  • Postgraduate qualification in leadership, management, or addiction studies desirable.
  • Hold full professional accreditation in a relevant discipline (see above).
  • Qualified and accredited to provide clinical supervision.
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant post-qualification senior leadership or service management experience, ideally gained in Addiction Treatment Services or other related psychotherapy/psychology or health related services.
  • Demonstrable experience of facilitating group clinical supervision.
  • Experience in strategic planning, service development, risk management, and innovation.
  • Experience in leading, supporting, and developing staff and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Full clean driving licence with insurance indemnity to our client.

Qualifications
