Director of Activities

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the diverse needs and interests of our residents
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify residents' strengths, abilities, and interests, and create personalized activity plans
• Plan and conduct a wide range of activities, including recreational games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, and social events
• Recruit and supervise activity assistants and volunteers
• Coordinate outings and trips for residents to local attractions and events
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities programs, making adjustments as needed
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a caring and supportive environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or related field preferred
