About the role
The Director of Accounting & LGUS Shared Services oversees shared services operations across multiple functions and locations, ensuring efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This role provides strategic leadership to large teams, drives process improvement and automation initiatives, establishes performance metrics, and partners with cross-functional stakeholders to support organizational goals, financial integrity, and scalable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-location shared services organization with approximately 150 employees and seven direct reports across diverse functional areas.
- Provide strategic direction, coaching, and performance management to develop leadership and foster a high-performance culture.
- Establish departmental priorities, service standards, and operating rhythms aligned with business and finance objectives.
- Oversee general ledger, payroll, benefits accounting, customer financial services, collections, cash applications, and regional accounting functions.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, sales and use tax, property tax, and support audit readiness and internal control remediation.
- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance service delivery, reduce risk, and increase scalability.
- Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Tax, Operations, IT, and business units to support enterprise priorities, system implementations, and transformation initiatives.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to promote accountability and transparency.
- Guarantee clear documentation of processes, procedures, roles, responsibilities, and controls across the shared services organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, shared services, or related business areas.
- Proven leadership of large, multi-functional teams within complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong expertise in accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and close processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, implement automation, and deliver measurable operational improvements.

Pay
Open to salary range $166,125 - $243,650.
