About the role
The Director of Accounting will lead the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with all relevant regulations, and strategic financial planning. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of accountants and auditors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead the annual audit process and ensure adherence to audit standards.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a leadership role.
- A CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven track record of successful financial management and strategic planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with financial systems and software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with financial modeling and analysis.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Pay
Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
