Oversee accounting oversight for the organization, including reconciliations, preparation and review of journal entries, staff work review, monthly and annual reporting, and audit functions. Manage a comprehensive accounting program integrating Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting staff in the management and performance of all day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including A/P, A/R, Billing/Collections, Payroll, and Travel.
- Prepare financial documents and implement procedures.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly financial and operational reviews of subsidiaries in accordance with GAAP and company guidelines.
- Create financial reports.
- Execute the year-end close according to best practices and requirements as prescribed by the State Accounting Office.
- Provide professional guidance and assistance in the solution of complex accounting and financial problems.
- Oversee preparation of year-end audit work papers for external auditors.
- Perform complex reconciliations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Accounting.
- Minimum of 8+ years of related work experience.
- CPA is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated strong consolidation and reporting skill set.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time.
