Essential Functions
- Lead, coach, and mentor the Account Management team
- Develop and execute team strategy and performance metrics
- Serve as executive oversight for key clients
- Oversee renewal strategy and service quality
- Partner with sales and operations teams
- Create and maintain strong carrier partnerships
- Ensure designated team’s clients’ compliance requirements are satisfactory and up to date
- Manage staffing, training, and team planning
- Drive process improvement and operational efficiency
- Manage book of business for large size clients
- Lead renewal strategy and negotiate with carriers
- Deliver client presentations and open enrollment materials
- Manage escalations and resolve complex issues
- Analyze claims data and funding strategies
- Prepare spreadsheets, proposals, and enrollment materials
Competencies & Qualifications
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Expert knowledge of medical (fully insured and self-funding), dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
Education & Experience
- 5+ years in employee benefits account management
- 2+ years managing teams
- State Health & Life license required
