Your next opportunity starts here POSITION OVERVIEW: The Director of OEM Product Lines leads and manages OEM manufacturer distribution relationships, drives global product strategy, leads new OEM distribution relationship cultivation and contract negotiation, and optimizes supplier performance to maximize revenue, inventory turns, and product line profitability across global defense aviation customer segments. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy & Growth: Design and execute global product line strategies, growth roadmaps, and pricing models for military aerospace OEM lines. Supplier Management: Lead contract negotiations, quarterly business reviews, and strategic alignment with global OEM manufacturing partners. Portfolio Lifecycle: Oversee new product introductions, inventory optimization, catalog expansion, and phase-out processes for legacy and advanced military parts. Inventory Management, Forecasting, and Data Analytics: Management of OEM product lines involves managing large lists of parts and pricing data typically utilizing MS Excel where a high level of proficiency in MS Excel and our ERP system is essential for efficient and effective management. Knowledge of common forecasting methodology including statistical methods is important including creation of line of balance analysis of inventory based on demand trends. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with global sales, supply chain, quality assurance, and technical support teams to meet defense contract requirements. Sales, Business Development, and Marketing Product Line Training: Collaborate with the Marketing team to create product sell sheets, brochures, line cards, presentations as needed to support the sales and business development process. Create OEM product line training presentations for internally focused product informational training to improve sales and business development team awareness and product knowledge of distributed OEM product lines. Compliance & Quality: Ensure all OEM parts distributed meet strict military specifications, ITAR regulations, and aerospace quality standards which may require OEM feedback to support other departmental functions like Export Compliance in categorizing products with appropriate ECCNs or USML codes, HTS codes and Schedule B codes. TRAVEL REQUIRENMENT Must be able and willing to travel to OEM facilities and participate in OEM meetings and discussions. Travel of up to 40% may be required at certain times of the year, although the frequency will vary. Attendance at trade shows to host and support OEM meetings and business reviews is also required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education, Certifications and/or licenses: 10+ years in aerospace aftermarket, defense supply chain, or OEM product management, with international exposure. Extensive knowledge of military OEM manufacturers and their product lines as well as relationships with key OEM manufacturers is key. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). Deep expertise in military aircraft platforms, federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS), and ITAR compliance. Skills: Strong financial acumen, contract negotiation, data-driven portfolio analysis, and executive-level communication. Ability to work with large lists of parts and pricing data typically utilizing MS Excel where a high level of proficiency in MS Excel and our ERP system is essential for efficient and effective management. Candidate should know how to create pivot tables, utilize conditional formatting techniques, and run V-Lookups on large worksheets.
