The Director of Professional Nursing Practice (PNP) plays a vital leadership role in the system, guiding the evolution and excellence of nursing care. This individual works within a matrixed structure to lead transformative projects, drive innovation in care delivery, and foster an environment where nurses can thrive and develop professionally. This position promotes a culture of accountability and compassion and actively works to elevate standards of practice through education, mentorship, and advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Provides site-specific leadership for professional nursing practice within the department of nursing, including but not limited to technology, innovation, research, implementation science, staff and leadership transition and growth, and practice guidelines.
- Provides leadership for system-wide projects, programs, and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensed in Illinois.
- BSN is required.
- MSN, MHA, or MBA also required.
- Minimum four years of relevant experience, including two years in supervisory or management roles.
- National certification required within one year of hire or promotion.
