Job Summary
As our Director Nursing Maternal Child Health Services at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, you will direct the operations of our MCH departments, comprised of Antepartum, L&D, Postpartum, Lactation Services, and NICU. We have 2 OB triage rooms, 9 rooms in L&D, 18 rooms in Postpartum, and a 13 bed Level III NICU. We average 116 deliveries each month, and our ADC in the NICU is 5. To help support you as the Director, we have a Nurse Manager L&D and Postpartum, a Perinatal Safety Specialist / Educator, a Lactation Educator, and a team of Charge Nurses and other support staff.
Responsibilities
- Work with senior leadership on strategy and key initiatives
- Work with your front-line leaders to ensure high standards of patient care are maintained
- Advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies
- Communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care
Requirements
- Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (_e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.
- Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.
- Required Licensure: Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
