About the role

The Director, Navigation Integration position within the American Cancer Society focuses on directing initiatives to support the adoption and integration of navigation, including workforce development and training. This role involves applying knowledge and skills in planning, executing, and evaluating training curriculum and other key initiatives, collaborating with internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a subject matter expert to lead the design and execution of program activities, manages workflows, develops program resources, oversees daily operations and spending, and provides regular reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Oversees data collection, develops data reports, leads program evaluation, identifies areas for program and process improvement, and supports ongoing dissemination of work through internal and external channels.
  • Builds and manages relationships with key partners, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders to maximize program utilization, facilitating cross-department communication and collaboration.
  • Provides guidance, coordination, and oversight to ensure the team functions effectively and remains aligned with program goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree with 8 years relevant experience acceptable
  • Preferred Degree: Registered Nurse
  • Preferred Degree: Master's Degree
  • Experience with navigation in a clinic
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating public health or patient care programs.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of people leader or supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of patient navigation.
  • Knowledge of cancer, cancer control, and cancer care delivery.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Knowledge of the operations and management of health systems.
  • Knowledge of program management and grants management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and maintain schedules for deliverables related to multiple projects.
  • Ability to interact, collaborate, and effectively communicate across multiple projects and stakeholders to achieve departmental goals and priorities, operational efficiencies, and organizational impact.
  • Ability to conduct program evaluation, interpret data, and make data-driven programmatic decisions.
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize new opportunities, set strategic goals, and determine the best allocation of resources to achieve organizational goals and optimize performance.
  • Ability to supervise and provide leadership to staff in multiple locations.
  • Ability to speak knowledgeably about the Society's mission, priorities, and cancer care delivery strategies in a wide variety of settings.

Must be able to travel occasionally.

Pay

$100,000 to $105,000 annually. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
