For our client, we are seeking a Director, Medical Science Liaison, GI (NYC, Long Island, Southern CT) to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This field-facing medical affairs leader will serve as a key scientific resource across gastrointestinal oncology, helping translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. The role will build trusted relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals while supporting the broader medical strategy through credible, peer-level scientific engagement. You will also collaborate closely with internal cross-functional partners to advance congress planning, advisory boards, and insight generation in a highly dynamic research environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $201,000 – $251,000 annually Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals Communicate clinical data through presentations and educational programs Support synthesis of scientific insights for internal teams Provide scientific support for medical congresses and advisory boards Establish credibility as a scientific expert for internal stakeholders Collaborate cross-functionally with medical affairs and other teams Stay current with scientific literature and emerging research Qualifications Doctoral degree in a scientific or medical discipline 8+ years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry 3+ years of experience as an MSL in GI cancer Strong understanding of clinical research and drug development processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to analyze and synthesize scientific information effectively Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals Benefits Competitive cash compensation Robust equity awards Strong benefits Significant learning and development opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
