Director, Medical Science Liaison, GI (IL, IN)

This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals to enhance medical knowledge
• Communicate clinical and scientific data to healthcare stakeholders through various channels
• Support and synthesize insights from KOLs for internal teams
• Provide scientific support for medical congresses and advisory boards, enhancing visibility
• Establish credibility as a scientific resource for internal stakeholders regarding products and therapeutic areas
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support medical strategies and tactics
• Remain current with scientific literature and emerging research

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in scientific or medical discipline
• 8+ years of experience as an MSL or in a similar pharmaceutical or biotech role
• 3+ years of MSL experience in the GI cancer disease state area
• Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies and drug development processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to analyze and synthesize scientific information effectively
• Strong networking skills with documented success in relationship building with KOLs and healthcare professionals
• Self-directed, thriving in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to travel up to 60%

Pay

$236,000 – $259,000 annually
