Director, Media Planning (Temporary)
About the role
We are hiring a Director to join our Planning and Business Leadership team in a full time temporary role through August (benefits eligible).
This role is hybrid, and requires working onsite at our New York office, with flexibility to work from home.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a level of innovation and excellence in work.
- Have an in-depth understanding of communications and media strategy, cross-channel planning, and the intricacies of online and offline media activation and campaign performance analysis.
- Provide strategic leadership based on an in-depth knowledge of each client's business.
- Advance media products delivered to clients, fueled by a holistic understanding of advertising and media.
- Liaison between partner agencies, media partners, in-house client strategy/creative team.
- Understand the media landscape and how it's evolving.
- Manage and mentor team members.
- Reviews, performance issues, timely reviews/feedback, active work distribution and fair rotations.
- Strong listening skills: believes good thinking can come from anyone and any place.
- Participation in new business.
- A team player willing to compromise their point of view in support of others.
Requirements
- 6 + years of experience in media planning.
- Vertical experience in financial, banking, wealth management or related is highly desirable.
- Advise and guide clients on media strategies.
- Manage and mentor team members.
- Understand the media landscape and how it's evolving.
- Strong listening skills: believes good thinking can come from anyone and any place.
- Participation in new business.
- A team player willing to compromise their point of view in support of others.
