Responsibilities
- Work with the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer to help develop and execute the Firm’s legal AI and practice transformation strategy.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team focused on legal AI, workflow transformation, and practice innovation initiatives across the Firm.
- Build effective working relationships across legal, business, and technology teams to drive alignment, execution, and operational adoption of AI-enabled solutions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the Firm’s legal transformation efforts.
- Represent the Firm in select external forums related to legal AI, emerging technologies, and practice transformation, and apply relevant market insights to the Firm’s strategy and operations.
- Collaborate with lawyers, client teams, and business stakeholders to identify operational pain points and high-value AI use cases across legal practices.
- Redesign legal workflows and service delivery processes to improve efficiency, consistency, scalability, and client value.
- Lead the implementation and operational scaling of AI-enabled solutions, ensuring initiatives move beyond pilots into sustainable day-to-day use within legal practice groups.
- Develop repeatable operating models, governance approaches, and adoption strategies that enable successful integration of AI into legal work.
- Establish metrics and operational KPIs to evaluate adoption, efficiency gains, and business impact, and continuously refine solutions based on results and user feedback.
- Develop practical enablement approaches that help lawyers and client teams successfully adopt AI-supported processes within day-to-day legal practice.
- Design and deliver user guidance, training materials, and adoption support resources that encourage effective and responsible use of AI tools within legal service delivery.
- Gather user feedback and adoption insights to help refine enablement strategies, improve usability, and support continuous enhancement of AI-integrated processes.
- Partner with Risk, Information Security, and relevant legal teams to ensure AI-enabled workflows align with Firm policies, client confidentiality requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate risk and security reviews for new tools and capabilities, ensuring solutions are operationally sustainable and appropriately governed.
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of how legal work is performed in practice.
- Systems and process thinking.
- Strong operational rigor and execution capability.
- Product or workflow ownership instincts.
- Practical fluency with AI-enabled workflows and technologies, including LLMs and automation tools.
- The ability to build credibility across legal, business, and technical stakeholders.
