Director, Knowledge Management
Key Responsibilities
- Knowledge Strategy & Architecture
- Define enterprise-wide taxonomy, governance, and "living knowledge" frameworks to support rapid scaling and IPO readiness.
- Develop corporate ontologies to ensure institutional knowledge is machine-searchable and AI-ready.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify and mitigate organizational memory risks.
- Data Retention & Migration (Program Lead)
- Serve as DRI for a 7-wave data retention program, transitioning the company from Slack-centric storage to durable repositories (Confluence, Google Drive).
- Build and mobilize a cross-functional network of department champions to lead migration efforts.
- Enforce documentation standards, leverage AI tools (e.g., Glean) for migration, and manage change to prevent shadow IT.
- Partner with Legal to manage compliance carve-outs, legal holds, and retention policies.
- Institutional Memory Preservation
- Standardize knowledge capture for critical transitions (departures, role changes, org redesigns).
- Embed retrospective practices to systematically document decision rationales and project context.
- Platform Stewardship & Change Management
- Co-own governance of Oura’s tech stack (Confluence, Google Workspace, Glean, Miro, Slack, Intranet) in partnership with IT.
- Optimize information architecture to support multi-tool AI stack use cases (e.g., performance reviews, deal continuity).
- Embed knowledge hygiene into core HR milestones (onboarding, L&D tracking, planning cycles).
- Define and track KPIs for knowledge health, including content currency, discoverability, and search efficacy.
- 12+ years in knowledge management, organizational effectiveness, change management, L&D, or an adjacent field.
- Proven success scaling KM practices within high-growth, Series C+ or pre-IPO environments.
- Prefer candidates with hands-on expertise with Google Workspace, Glean, Miro, and Slack.
- Exceptional track record of driving cross-functional behavior change, program management, and cultural alignment.
- Familiarity with data retention compliance, legal governance, or HR/L&D operations.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
