About the Role

The Director of IT for Supply Chain Planning & Manufacturing Systems at Kontoor is a global leadership role responsible for the strategy, delivery, and support of critical planning and manufacturing technology capabilities across the supply chain landscape. This role partners closely with business and IT leadership to define priorities, enable scalable solutions, and ensure the systems portfolio supports operational performance, business growth, and enterprise technology objectives.

The Director leads a team of managers, architects, analysts, and delivery partners while building strong collaboration across global business functions, regional teams, vendors, and system partners. This role also identifies and enables opportunities to apply data, automation, analytics, and AI capabilities to improve planning accuracy, manufacturing visibility, operational decision-making, and user productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global IT strategy, roadmap, and delivery portfolio for Supply Chain Planning and Manufacturing Systems, ensuring alignment with Kontoor’s business priorities, supply chain objectives, and enterprise technology direction.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Sales Planning, Manufacturing, and regional business leaders to define system capabilities, prioritize demand, and translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of global planning and manufacturing initiatives, including solution design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, stabilization, and post-go-live support across business functions and regions.
  • Build and lead a capable global IT organization, ensuring the right mix of functional, technical, architectural, and delivery skills to support current operations and future transformation needs.
  • Establish governance for application standards, integration patterns, data quality, security controls, compliance practices, responsible AI adoption, and support processes to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable systems.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve planning accuracy, increase manufacturing visibility, reduce operational risk, and enhance user experience through modern application capabilities, data, analytics, automation, and practical AI-enabled solutions.
  • Own operational health for the application portfolio, including service reliability, incident management, release planning, risk mitigation, budget stewardship, and executive communication on status, decisions, and trade-offs.
  • Manage vendor, system integrator, and technology partner relationships, including delivery performance, resource planning, issue resolution, contract support, and alignment to enterprise architecture and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive IT experience supporting supply chain, planning, manufacturing, or related enterprise systems, including at least 7+ years in the apparel, retail, or consumer products industry.
  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, including people leadership, program delivery, strategic planning, vendor management, and cross-functional business partnership.
  • Experience with supply chain planning, forecasting, manufacturing, ERP integration, data, analytics, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and enterprise application platforms; experience with global delivery models and system integrators preferred.
  • Travel, including foreign, as required up to 10%-20% of the time.
