About the role
The Director, IT Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Procurement is a high-impact enterprise leadership role created to support IT’s evolving organization and the full scope of the COO’s global operations.
Responsibilities
- Own the Portfolio: Lead strategy and lifecycle management for global systems supporting manufacturing (MES, plant floor), supply chain planning, and procurement processes across a multi-national, $2 billion+ revenue, 5,000+ employee, 40+ location enterprise.
- Lead a global organization of 60 IT team members and contractors with accountability for $4mm+ in operating expense.
- System Governance: Establish roadmaps for Manufacturing, MES, Supply Chain, SIOP and Procurement systems in alignment with enterprise architecture and business digitalization goals.
- Implementation & Optimization: Direct systems implementation, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects across operations, ensuring integration with ERP and other enterprise systems.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure system stability, performance, and compliance for 24x7 manufacturing and supply chain functions.
- Cyber/OT Security Partnership: Collaborate with IT Security & Infrastructure operations to define security standards and protect plant-floor systems.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement leadership to ensure IT capabilities enable productivity, quality, and cost objectives.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with key technology vendors and integration partners, ensuring contract compliance and high service delivery standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or relevant discipline.
- Experience: 12+ years in IT roles with significant experience in managing IT teams focused on Manufacturing Systems, Supply Chain Planning, or ERP-driven operations. 8+ years in IT program management, project management, or IT business partner roles with a proven track record of delivering large-scale IT projects.
- Software Development, DevOps, programming (Java based environments) and other forms of development experience.
- In-depth understanding of Supply Chain, Supply Chain planning and forecasting systems, and all other aspects of Supply Chain.
- Deep understanding of MES, plant floor automation interfaces, data historians, and integrated ERP-SAP landscapes.
- Experience: Experience in managing global teams and large-scale business system projects. Vendor and portfolio management experience. Excellent stakeholder and change management capability. Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence and collaborate with senior leadership. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement.

- Base Pay Range: $167,500 - $245,850
