Key Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing infrastructure hardware team; set clear goals, expectations, and development plans
- Establish strong engineering practices (design reviews, documentation, change control, and risk management) to improve quality and predictability
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to define staffing plans, hiring priorities, onboarding, and team operating cadence
- Foster a collaborative environment with clear communication, constructive feedback, and effective conflict resolution
- Own end-to-end delivery of infrastructure hardware programs from concept through production release, including scope, schedule, budget, and resourcing
- Drive cross-functional planning and execution with Design, Test, Characterization, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain; communicate status, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders
- Establish and manage project plans, milestones, and phase gates
- Proactively identify dependencies and bottlenecks; lead issue resolution and escalation to keep programs on track
- Set technical direction for scalable infrastructure hardware platforms; translate business and engineering needs into system requirements and roadmaps
- Provide high-level system design guidance and ensure robust build, integration, bring-up, and validation plans across labs and manufacturing environments
- Drive make/buy decisions, supplier selection, and vendor strategy balancing performance, cost, quality, and supply continuity
- Standardize platforms and interfaces to improve reuse, reduce cycle time, and enable multi-product support
Program & Project Management (Delivery, Schedule, and Execution)
- Partner with Operations and Quality to drive reliability, compliance, and lifecycle management for infrastructure platforms
- Manage infrastructure supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost) and drive continuous improvement with key manufacturing and test partners
- Define and track key metrics (cycle time, yield impact, uptime/availability, cost) to improve platform performance and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of experience delivering complex hardware systems, platforms, or infrastructure for lab, test, ATE, and/or manufacturing environments
- 5+ years of people leadership experience
- High-level system design capability with strong hands-on understanding of hardware build, integration, bring-up, debug, and validation
- Experience working with suppliers/contract manufacturers
- Excellent communication and influence skills
