Director, Infrastructure Funding
About the role
Leads funding processes to secure grants and external funding for capital projects for clients. Work is performed with little or no supervision. This role is self-directed and advances funding programs with minimal oversight from senior funding group leadership.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes advanced understanding of various state and federal funding sources and programs, including relationships with key members of state and federal funding agencies.
- Applies in-depth understanding of client project scope to identify and recommend the best strategy for securing funding.
- Leads the completion of applications and documentation required to secure funding, based on application requirements.
- Leads the funding team to complete tasks and assignments associated with the application and securing of infrastructure funding options.
- Adapts and executes additional assignments based on evolving needs.
Mentorship
- Provides mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced insight into infrastructure projects and key components of large infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in strategic planning processes.
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state funding programs.
- Knowledge of municipal finance principles and practices.
- Ability to conduct competitor analysis and provide strategic market insights.
- Strong understanding of municipal finance, economics, and federal and state funding programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of Strategic Funding or related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Pay
The anticipated starting pay range for this position varies by primary work location and may be adjusted based on skills, experience, and education.
- Location A: $117,000 - $159,000
- Location B: $128,000 - $175,000
- Location C: $140,000 - $191,000
