What this role is about:
The Director, IT is a player-coach responsible for building, providing strategic direction, and operating modern, scalable IT infrastructure. This role reports to the Senior Director of Product Operations within the Product, Data & Engineering division.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee daily IT operations and own the organization's application landscape, ensuring a well-governed, rationalized SaaS portfolio with SSO and SCIM provisioning wherever possible
- Define and execute a roadmap to accelerate IT maturity by deploying AI-assisted tools to automate core lifecycle workflows—specifically access provisioning, hardware management, and employee transitions
- Identify and champion technology-enabled opportunities that enhance operational efficiency, innovation, scalability, and reduce toil via automation
- Provide leadership and direction to IT Systems Admins and Help Desk staff
- Develop and own the corporate IT budget, evaluate vendor contracts, and procure software/hardware solutions
- Partner with InfoSec to operationalize incident response and vulnerability management
- Support a distributed workforce using GSuite, Okta, Claude, and Replit across a fleet of primarily MacBook Air and Windows 11 hardware
What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
- 7+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in IT leadership roles, ideally within fast-growing technology companies
- A willingness to roll up their sleeves for technical execution while simultaneously building long-term strategy
- An “AI mentality” to IT, with a proven track record of leveraging automation and AI to reduce operational toil, simplify processes, and systematically eliminate low-value work through thoughtful prioritization and backlog management
- A strong capability and comfort managing, integrating, supporting, and optimizing a broad portfolio of business applications, with demonstrated skill in strategically evaluating when to build, buy, or outsource solutions and effectively managing vendors and external partners
- Experience running IT operations for a remote-first, international workforce
- A strong command of identity and access management (SSO, SCIM, MFA) and experience contributing to compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA
- Able to earn trust and collaborate with both executives and individual contributors

- The starting pay for a successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience, relevant skills, training, education, location, business needs, or market demands. The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $190,000. This role will also be eligible to receive equity options
