Director Imaging Services

About the Role

Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all diagnostic imaging services, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient services that meet patient and organizational needs. Manage a multi-disciplinary team, fostering excellence and continuous improvement in strategic planning, financial management, and technology implementation while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate programs, systems, operations, and resources to ensure safe and appropriate delivery of diagnostic/therapeutic patient care, achieving clinical core measurement scores and compliance with organizational values, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Produce and present reports on key performance indicators and benchmarking metrics.
• Ensure consistent practices in clinical/administrative operations, customer service, human resources, and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement new clinical systems/programs to enhance services and raise the standard of care.
• Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards, policies, procedures, guidelines, and training materials to ensure compliance with regulatory/accreditation requirements.
• Optimize information technology to achieve business objectives and participate in strategic/tactical planning, including short- and long-term business planning.
• Determine resources needed for performance objectives and oversee budget administration, including preparation of annual operating/capital budgets and monitoring expenses to stay within budget.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels, proper training, and performance management of clinical management staff.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate systems for performance/quality improvement in alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Assess strengths and weaknesses of assigned clinical areas to identify future needs and recommend growth or expansion opportunities.
• Ensure full compliance with internal/external legal and regulatory standards, monitoring effectiveness of current practices.
• Participate in business development and marketing strategies to enhance awareness, expand market share, and increase revenues.
• Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with medical directors, physicians, patients, supply vendors, and external entities to foster revenue enhancement and improved customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business/healthcare administration, or a related discipline.
• Seven years of progressively responsible operational/clinical work experience, including five years in a management/leadership capacity.
• Extensive leadership experience in a complex imaging environment.
• Deep knowledge of imaging modalities and accreditation standards.
• Strong operational, financial, and strategic planning skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current licensure/certification in a diagnostic imaging modality.

$76.36 - $125.99 per hour.
