Director I Nursing Inpatient - ACHD/CPCU

Position Overview

We are seeking a Director I in Inpatient Nursing - Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) and Cardiology Patient Care Unit (CPCU) to manage and oversee daily clinical, administrative, and human resource activities for the designated clinical area(s).

Position Summary

This position provides an opportunity to lead leaders in the care of pediatric and adult patients within a top 10 ranked Heart Center. The ACHD unit has 16 beds and operates under a universal care model, while the CPCU has 48 beds and functions as a stepdown/acute care unit.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Partners with staff, medical, and unit leadership to ensure clinical excellence within a family-centered care environment.
• Utilizes multiple sources of information and reports to identify trends and develop action plans.
• Collaborates with the Medical Director and healthcare provider team to maintain cohesive department communication.
• Demonstrates fiscal accountability by managing and justifying resources, including personnel, equipment, supplies, and capital.
• Facilitates staff participation in the Quality Outcomes Program and unit-based quality initiatives.
• Develops and monitors exemplary clinical outcomes through ongoing self and team development.
• Facilitates collaboration and cooperation among diverse groups, people, and professional disciplines.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Field
• RN - License to practice as a Registered Nurse
• BLS - Certification in Basic Life Support
• Average daily census: 11 for ACHD unit, 38 for CPCU unit
• 5 years' experience in management/leadership
